Tag & Rename 3.2
I can highly recommend this program. It's not perfect, but it's a wonderful time saver, has minimal quirks (rare enough in this category of software), and Version 3.2 appears to be highly stable. The author clearly doesn't have the Golden Age Radio Community in mind in his Business Plan, but with a few more tweaks this could become the best Golden Age Radio .mp3 renamer and tagger produced to date.
I recently tagged or retagged over 128,000 recordings with this program during a major review and clean up of our entire collection of Golden Age Radio holdings. I found it quick, accurate, and reasonbly well tailored to it's advertised capabilities.

The Otter Barn's Otter.
NOTE: Use this product at your own risk. The author refuses to identify him/herself, it remains undocumented by the author, provides no means whatsoever for including same date episodes, and tends to crash on collections larger than 25,000 episodes. The database accompanying the product is highly inaccurate and arbitrary to the point of absurdity in many respects. Many of it's show listings are embedded with hundreds of illegal characters for either tagging or renaming, rendering them useless for either retagging or renaming an entire run of episodes. It's affiliation with the certain Yahoo Groups has only compounded it's inaccuracies. Consider it a useful lookup tool for beginners in the hobby. Seasoned Golden Age Radio collectors will find it more frustrating than helpful after a short time using it., and will inevitably discard all of it's preloaded episode listings in favor of their own.

Though I can't recommend it, I know many of you have heard of it, and wish to try it.

File Renaming Tools
What are File Renaming Tools? These are the software tools that Golden Age Radio Collectors use to create external labels for the recordings they collect. Here's a couple of them that I use regularly.
Directory Listing Tools
What are Directory Listing Tools? These are the software tools that Golden Age Radio Collectors use to list and organize recordings they collect for either web display, printing, or collecting and organizing recording files for introduction into a database. Short of writing your own, this is about the only external Directory Lister worth using.
Duplicate File Finding Tools
What are Duplicate File Finding Tools? Every Golden Age Radio recording collector inevitably encounters the problem of having thousands of duplicate .mp3 recordings on their hard drives. Finding duplicate files manually can be a mind-numbing--if not maddening--process. These programs automate the process of finding duplicate files--some find even 'true' duplicates as well--so you can recover as much as hundreds of megabytes of duplicated and wasted storage on your computer.
