Precious few have survived . . .
Performers? Producers? Technicians? . . . No, we’re talking about the premiums. But they’re as much a part of the culture of the Golden Age Radio Era as the shows they promoted.
These pages are a tribute to the marketing and promotion genius behind the shows and sponsors that built and kept consumer loyalty through some of the most innovative promotion premiums in the history of American Advertising.
Those of us ‘of a certain age’ couldn’t have helped but encounter or even keep some of these fascinating little gems of trivia and memorabilia from our favorite shows. And some of us can even attest to having actually used some of these delightful and often both functional and useful keepsakes.
We’ll be happy to add any other examples of these ‘precious gems’ of the Golden Age Radio Experience that any of you care to send our way (. . . the photos and notes, of course. Heh)
