Cap'n Wallins, skipper of a crazy paddle wheeler, was "the best dam' flute player on the Tennessee River" until Lige moved his shanty-boat into Wallins' territory. Then Lige was the best and he knew it; the worst of it was, so did the captain and so trouble started, bringing both men very close to death. "Minstrels of the Mist" was adapted for radio by Jack Bentkover. Wynn Wright will direct the dramatization. |
